LGU Dapitan Mourns Brgy Chairman's Brutal Death

Alarming Agony

Dapitan City, Zamboanga Del Norte -  Around 2:00 o'clock in the afternoon last August 12 of the present year, a Toyota Hi-Lux owned by City Councilor Alemarlou B. Dagpin came bearing a beheaded body of Brgy Chairman Rodolfo ''Rudy" Boligao who was reportedly hostage last May 2015.

At  3:00 o’clock of the same day, late Honorable Rudy Boligao’s body was already in a coffin and was brought to Dapitan City Hall for a Necronology Services of LGU-Dapitan which was folllowed by a mass of his dead body.

Deplorable faces were seen to the City Mayor Rosalina Jalosjos, Vice Mayor Ruben Cad and all the employees in the Government Center because of the said tragic that captured Dapitanons lives.

Base on the information gathered by our reporter, his dead body came to Zamboanga City last Tuesday, August 11, embarked by the Philippine Navy Vessel with head severed from his body. He was beheaded by the Abu Sayyaf Group after his family fail with the negotiation.

Brgy Aliguay Chairman Rudy Boligao's remain is currently at Gamalinda-Hamoy Funeral Homes and his interment will be this coming Saturday, August 22 at Dapitan City Cemetery.

Condemning the Brutal Killing of Barangay Chairman Rodolfo E. Boligao, Sr.

IT IS VERY UNFORTUNATE THAT WITH ALL THE EFFORTS TO NEGOTIATE FOR THE FREEDOM OF THE LATE HONORABLE RODOLFO E. BOLIGAO FROM CAPTIVITY, OUR EFFORTS FAILED.

ON THIS VERY MOMENT LET ME EXPRESS Y STRONGEST CONDEMNATION BARBARIC ACT OF A SENSELESS GROUP WHO BRUTALLY MURDERED A BARANGAY CHAIRMAN WHO HAVE SERVED HIS BARANGAY WITH HIGHEST INTEGRITY AND DEDICATION SO THAT HIS CONSTITUENTS SHALL LIVE IN A LIFE OF COMFORT AND EASE.

WHAT WAS DONE TO THE LATE HONORABLE RODOLFO E. BOLIGAO IS THE WORST ACT AGAINST HUMAN BEING WHOSE OBJECTIVE IN LIFE IS UTMOST RESPECT OF PEACE AND ORDER. HIS BRUTAL MURDER IS COMPARABLE TO ACT OF ANIMALS WHO DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE PRECIOUS VALUE OF LIFE.

AS CITY MAYOR OF DAPITAN I AM APPEALING TO HIGHER AUTHORITIES THAT JUSTICE BE SERVED TO THE DECEASED AND THE LONG ARMS OF THE LAW SHALL REACH THE RESPONSIBLE GROUP AND MAKE THEM ANSWER THE HEINOUS CRIME THEY COMMITTED.

To maintain a healthy commemoration, the Jose Rizal Memorial State University, Main Campus, once again joined the City's yearly celebration in remembering Dr. Jose Rizal's birth anniversary, at the Shrine City Plaza, June 19 of the present year.

Let's Celebrate!

 In commemorating its yearly celebration, the City of Dapitan once again celebrates its 52nd anniversary, last June 15-22,2015 at Dampa Site, Dapitan City.

 The seven day celebration was full of excitement in compare to past years for it is not only a day celebration but it is a one week commemoration.  The varied activities are not only intended for government employees. It is now open to all certified Dapitanons.            In the opening program dated June 15 around 4:00 o'clock in the afternoon, where all participating barangays around the city are invited to witness the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the presence of Manila Vice Mayor, Esko Moreno and Las Piñas Congressman Mark Villar together with Congressman Seth Frederick "Bullet" Jalosjos and the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Dapitan headed by the Mayor Rosalina "Nene" Garcia Jalosjos.In line with the celebration, each barangay were required to built a pure native booth with their unique and abundant livelihood products.Sports events was successfully done by the competitive barangay as well as musical competition,official barangay seal enhancement and developent contest and lastly the different native challenges. Prizes of each activities was given right after the official result.This year's charter wee celebration was hosted by the Department of Agriculture headed by the City Agriculturist Cyri Patangan with the full support of the Local Government of Dapitan.
